As a teen, Mike’s interest in visual arts flourished after he received a small camera as a gift, allowing him to capture the world as he perceived it. This was one of many events that led to his degree in Fine Art from the University of Utah.
After working forty-one years, then retiring from the construction industry, Mike has applied his love of building design and construction to his various work, including photography, digital graphics, woodworking, and ceramics.
Mike has been in both juried and invitational art shows across the Wasatch Front since 1983, having many works selected as Best of Show in both photography and digital graphic mediums, and has been recognized in national publications.
As you explore his work, you’ll recognize his ability to connect his professional career with his art. Enjoy his use of vivid color, individual vision, and sense of humor.
